Shangri-La II Motorspeedway, the ASA Member Track located in Tioga Center, NY and Pudgie's Good Time Pizza, Pasta and Subs announce a sponsorship partnership for the 2012 racing season. Pudgie's Good Time Pizza, Pasta and Subs will become the divisional sponsor of the speedway's new Four Cylinder Stock and Four Cylinder Junior Stocks. "We are very excited to have Pudgie's Pizza join the Shangri-La II family" states track manager, Amy Stilson. "Everyone knows that there is a tremendous amount of family involvement in motorsports and that family concept is what Pudgie's Pizza is all about. They are a perfect fit to welcome a new division to weekly competition". Pudgie's Good Time Pizza, Pasta and Subs opened its first location in Elmira, NY in 1963 and now have five locations in New York State, one location in Pennsylvania and one location in Clarksville, Maryland.

The first of two scheduled Test and Tune days is set for this Saturday May 5, 2012 at Shangri-La II Motorspeedway in Tioga Center, NY. The ASA member track is getting ready to welcome the race teams to the official start of the 2012 racing season. A second practice session is set for Saturday May 12th with the season lid lifter set for Sunday May 13th. The Modifieds will be in action for the season opener which is set to take the green flag at 3:00 pm. The race is the first of six scheduled appearances of the Modifieds this season at "The Concrete Castle". The Modifieds will be joined by the Sportsman, Street Stocks, Four Cylinder Stocks, Four Cylinder Juniors and the EST Trucks.

On Sunday May 20th, Shangri-La II welcomes the Race of Champions Pavement Modified Tour for their season opener. Shangri-La II is honored to host the RoC Modifieds for three events in 2012. The Late Models will run their first race of the season on Memorial Day Madness May 26th. There are ten events on the schedule for the Late Models this season. Sportsman, Street Stocks, Four Cylinder Stocks, For Cylinder Juniors and EST Trucks are in competition each week on the sixteen race schedule.

Pit and Grandstand gates open at 1:30pm. Practice begins at 2:00 pm and will last until 6:00pm.

The month of May is here, and so is the Fundraising Benefit for long time race official, Al Robinson. " It seems like the first week of January was just here" said fundraiser committee member Lora Kresge. The long planned event is based on the "Relay for Life" concept whereby people can come and set up their displays, race car haulers, campsites, vendor booths etc. starting at 11:00 am on Friday May 11th with the official start of the event at 5:00 pm. "The schedule of events will be finalized the week of April 30th , and it will be posted under the schedule section of the Shangri-La II Motorspeedway website" stated committee member, Amy Stilson. Some of the highlights of the fundraiser are Pace Car Rides, Kids activities, Live and Chinese auctions of racing memorabilia, a Bon Fire, Red Solo Cup Challenge and an event which is an official (unofficial) part of Race of Champions weekend - Down Hill Races which will be coordinated and run by Chris Zacharias. A Charity Track Walk will also take place with those wishing to participate making a donation and walking the track with their friends, family and perhaps even their favorite driver or race official (weather permitting, Al Robinson, himself will be a part of the track walk).

Just announced this week is an auction on the NASCAR Foundation website from Dover International Speedway for the June 3rd running of the FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks Sprint Cup series race at Dover, The package includes Tickets for two to watch the race in the Dover Motorsports Luxury Suite. Cold Pit Passes for two, stay the night following the race at the Dover Downs Hotel, Breakfast for two on Monday June 4th and a four lap ride-along with the Monster Racing Experience on June 4th. John Bisci from Las Vegas Motorspeedway has donated 25 - 1/64 scale Die Cast cars which were provided to media members only in 2009. The cars were the Earnhardt and Elvis fantasy paint scheme which was unveiled on a showcar at Las Vegas Motorspeedway. The showcar was then placed on display March 6, 2009 at Graceland's Elvis Presley Automobile Museum. Two posters by renowned motorsports artist, Sam Bass are also going to be available for auction. The posters are autographed by the artist himself.

The two day event takes place on May 11-12, 2012 at Shangri-La II Motorspeedway in Tioga Center, NY.
